Dr. Shammas B. M. is a leading Orthopaedic Consultant based in Kerala, India, with over 15 years of experience in arthroscopy, joint preservation, and sports medicine. He specializes in advanced knee arthroscopy procedures including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, cartilage restoration, and minimally invasive joint preservation surgeries involving the knee, hip, wrist, and ankle. He currently serves as Consultant Surgeon at Al Arif Hospital and Travancore Medical College. Dr. Shammas is the Founder Director of ARTHROLEARN, a hands-on arthroscopy training platform for young surgeons, and the innovator behind “Arthroknee,” a cost-effective wet knee simulator for surgical education. He has served as faculty at several national and international forums, including the ISAKOS 2025 Congress. Dr. Shammas is an active member of International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society, and Kerala Orthopaedic Association.
